Accountable for delivering of IT services to the Logistics Division for the company's business unit in South Africa

Impact:
High Level impact with Leading and Managing the Information Technology function of the country to mitigate service delivery risk and provide the necessary support and expertise to develop and maintain the IT infrastructure to provide a world class IT platform to meet the strategic objectives of the Supply Chain Business.
Customer & Stakeholder Management:
Provide effective IT support to the business development function - presales to implementation.
IT account management responsibility for in-country customers.
Create strong relationships at regional / global level within the IT community to ensure maximum leverage of resources / solutions to support local requirements.
Build strong relationships within the wider company network at country level.
Ensure that IT activities are aligned with each of the business unit’s goals and priorities.
Establish regular reviews with business leaders - raising the visibility and value of IT
To undertake other relevant duties as may be required from time to time. Ensuring that all IT activities meet or improve on budget, cost, volume and efficiency targets (Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in line with business objectives
Driving customer loyalty and retention Improving our customer experience across all touch points
Responsibility to act as reference person and to coordinate ICCC related matters in company Processes
Ownership for development and delivery of the country IT budget
Implement the IT Operating Model within the country structure.
Ensure implementation of divisional standards e.g. Depict, ITIL.
Support in the transfer of the current in-house infrastructure services from Day 100 to GSM.
Supported by the Regional IT Director define the country IT strategy (short and long term) in accordance with the regional/ global IT strategy.
Act as a key member of the country management team, setting country directions and strategies.
Implementation of the IT Integration / Strategy and Planning projects at a country / regional level.
Contribute to improving business P&L through effective management of IT services and solutions.
Management of the IT Budget and creation of business cases for required investments.
People Management:
Ensures competent, motivated and harmonious Information Technology team is recruited, retained and developed.
Maintains a safe and healthy environment for staff consistent with the policies and procedures of the company
Developing the Information Technology team’s capability and capacity.
Establishing an environment conducive to good performance and morale and ensuring the early resolution of conflict.
Establishing performance criteria and providing regular feedback to staff.
Developing and fostering professional excellence and networking with other business units.
Creating an environment in which individuals and teams perform at their best to maximize their own potential to create a win-win for both the company and individuals

**Key Skills**
Advanced knowledge of Network and telecommunications(MPLS)
Advanced knowledge of server and VM integration
Advanced knowledge of storage and hosting
Managed Helpdesk and Ecommerce environments
Ability to travel nationally and internationally

**Qualifications**:
University bachelor degree in a business discipline or relevant education
Post-graduate qualification in Management
Minimum 8-10 years’ experience within IT, accompanied with a wide experience at senior level preferably in Logistics/Courier sector or service oriented business.
Minimum 3 years leadership experience within the BIT Support environment/context
ITIL Foundations certification
Managed and implemented large projects of a complex nature
5 years’ experience leading Information Technology teams
