Vendor Manager

M&C Saatchi Group are looking for a Vendor Manager to join the team as we go through exciting and significant changes. Effective supplier management that also meets our sustainability goals are key elements of this change. **ABOUT THE ROLE**

The Vendor Manager will be responsible for leading the creation and maintenance of a new preferred vendor database. They will ensure that all preferred vendors meet our operating standards, are contracted properly, set up appropriately within our P2P process and aligned with our ESG guidelines and M&C Code of Conduct.

Success in this role is the establishment of an accurate and accessible vendor database, with seamless integration of ESG criteria. This person will be dedicated to fostering strong, compliant relationships with key suppliers to drive business value and sustainable practices.

You will be a strong administrator, keen to expand your knowledge base and skills through collaborating with suppliers, managing risk and enforcing procurement and purchasing practices.

**What you'll do**:
**Ethical Supply Chain** **Programme**
- Implement and refine the Ethical Supply Chain Programme for existing suppliers.
- Optimise the process and contact existing suppliers and ensure they complete the Supplier Questionnaire and Code of Conduct through our ESG data management portal.
- Support suppliers through portal set-up and questions that arise from suppliers as they respond to our questionnaire.
- Work with the Group Sustainability Director to support suppliers in delivering against ESG goals.

**Vendor Management**
- Develop and take responsibility for a vendor management database.
- Input and maintain accurate vendor data into the database, ensuring it is up to date and missing information is resolved.
- Contacting vendors and internal stakeholders for information as required.
- Ensuring all contractual documentation is stored with a clear system in place.
- Log key contract and late payment clauses special terms in the database.
- Flag upcoming termination periods and contract end dates.
- Longer term: develop and track vendor performance and SRM KPIs.
- Creating and documenting vendor management processes and training guides
- Documenting category plans and preferred supplier lists.
- Preparing RFx documents for new or existing preferred suppliers as applicable.

**What you'll bring**:

- Experience of working with databases and communicating with large numbers of contacts
- Strong stakeholder management skills and proven capability to communicate requirements to stakeholders and provide support to deliver them.
- Fluent English language skills. Other languages are an advantage.
