- Reports to Warehouse Coordinator- Job Purpose:
- To assist with the receival and despatching of goods and collection and deliver goods in the most cost effective and efficient way to ensure timeous delivery of goods in an excellent condition to customers to ensure that the Company continually provide the highest level of service to customers in the most cost effective way whilst achieving the highest possible profit- Key Performance Areas:
- Receive and Despatch: Inspect all goods received to ensure compliance with customer specifications and quality requirements- Packing:
- Pack freight using high quality cost effective materials to ensure security and prevention of damage in transit.
- Add sticker to packed freight and complete despatch note.
- Submit the despatch note and a copy of the invoice to the Logistics Officer for processing.
- Deliver goods to customers timeously and in an excellent condition.
- Plan routes efficiently and cost effectively to ensure timeous delivery of goods through proper planning.
- Inspect all fleet vehicles and forklifts on a daily basis to ensure proper and safe functioning thereof
- Cleaning: Clean the warehouse floor on a daily basis and when spillages occur to ensure a safe working environment- Delivering:
- Deliver goods to customers timeously and in an excellent condition.
- Plan routes efficiently and cost effectively to ensure timeous delivery of goods through proper planning.
- Inspect all fleet vehicles and forklifts on a daily basis to ensure proper and safe functioning thereof.
- Compliance- Ensure compliance with regulations, legislation, quality standards, policies and standard operating procedures and protocol to ensure that all logistics and warehouse processes and projects are executed and completed in the prescribed manner.
- Ensure confidentiality of information is maintained at all times.**Inherent Requirements**
- Minimum Qualifications/Experience:
- Grade 12
- Code 10 Drivers license
- Forklift license (F/01 or C1)
- Dangerous goods certificate
- 2 years working experience as driver and or courier
- Key Knowledge and skills:
- In-depth knowledge of the following:
- Warehousing principles
- Stock taking principles
- Fragile packing principles
- Export requirements of countries in Africa
- Procurement systems e.g.: PRONTO
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of the following computer programmes:

- Excel
- Outlook
