- Minimum of two (2) years welding experience
- Minimum of five (5) years mechanical repair and assembly experience
- A legal driver licences

- Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing, including formal communications and making presentations.
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
- Ability to work well under pressure
- A sense of urgency with a strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to pay close attention to detail and coordinate various activities simultaneously.
- Be able and willing to learn electrical wiring through internal training processes to achieve engine wiring and testing

**Responsibilities**:

- Complete of Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) documentation
- Responsible for assembling of the build kit as prescribe by the engineering team
- Responsible for fitting standard feather keys into shafts and the fitting of shafts into gear wheels.
- Fit of taper keys, typically, into couplings, sprockets etc.
- Measure and determining end floats (clearance between bearing and end cover)
- Read and use inside micrometres, outside micrometres as well as depth micrometres.
- Fit of couplings and drive plates to engine drive.
- Industrial spray-painting
- General welding and cutting of small projects
- Applicant must have the ability to switch between semi-skilled fitter and spray painter

Specific Requirements/Additional information
- Predominantly based onsite. Will be required to work offsite and/or across borders.
- Required to attend and participate in continuing educational programs designed to keep you abreast of changes in your profession

The main purpose of this position is to custom build ISO shipping container housing, assemble CKD Canopy kits which include assembling engines, alternators, base frames and canopy kits. Position will be responsible for overseeing the functioning of the spray booth section and auxiliaries.
