**Overview**

You will work directly with our founder on copy editing original content we create. Our managing editor will then edit the content. The topics relate to the technical aspects of buying and selling businesses, such as valuation, taxation, legal, negotiations, etc.

**About the Job**

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Developmental/Copy Editor**: Your primary responsibility will be to work directly with our company owner as a developmental/copy editor. He will create the initial draft of the content, and then you will do a developmental/copy edit (the degree varies depending on the content). He will rework the content after you have done the developmental/copy edit, then send it to our managing editor to do the final edit.
- **Team**: You will work directly with our founder and managing editor.

**Hours and Availability**
- **Work Hours**:This will start as a part-time role but may transition to a full-time position over time.
- **Time Zone**:European business hours with occasional meetings during US business hours.
- **Hours Per Week**: Must be available approximately 10 to 30 hours per week.
- **Availability**: Must be available during the day for regular unscheduled Skype calls during European business hours. Beyond this, you can edit the content during your own schedule. This position entails frequent communication with our founder and managing editor, so you must be easily available and flexible. We prefer you have few conflicting career-related obligations that may interfere with our ability to communicate regularly.

**Key Qualifications**
- **Developmental Editing**: Must have at least five years of developmental editing experience.
- **AP Stylebook**: Knowledge of the AP Stylebook style guide.
- **Tech-Savvy**: Skype, Google Docs.
- **Business Knowledge**:Must have significant business, corporate finance, or M&A knowledge.
- **Home Office**: Must have a headset and reliable high-speed Internet access.
- **Skype**: Must be comfortable doing a Skype voice chat on a regular basis. The majority of the content requires regular high-level conversations. All of these conversations will occur during European or US business hours on a Skype voice call.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: R200.00 - R400.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 30 per week
