We are currently seeking an experienced **Transport Coordinator. **The purpose of this position is to ensure the efficient delivery of the transport operations department services to all stakeholders.

**Key Responsibilities**:(include but are not limited to)
- Source transport service providers
- Supervise and oversee the pickup and delivery of stock/sales orders
- Communicate with third party, and central office
- Arrange payments with finance
- Recruit, hire and supervise staff
- Prepare delivery schedules, plans and tracking of stock/sales orders
- Work with SARS to obtain necessary approvals to move sales orders/stock
- Ensure accurate manifest/trip sheet is provided to the relevant third party drivers
- Prepare delivery documents for third party service providers
- Ensure the relevant stakeholders received required documentation within the agreed timeframes
- Ensure accurate completion of on hand stock records/documentation
- Arrange and coordinate transport process and monitor transfer of goods
- Ensure all necessary day-to-day operations forms are accurately completed
- Ensure POD documentation packs have all required documentation
- Ensure the availability of special certifications for the transportation of sales orders/stock
- Compile and present operations reports as required by the company
- Establish and maintain good working relationships with suppliers
- Oversee the packing and delivery of stock and communicate discrepancies to the relevant stakeholders
- Receiving and unloading of stock from incoming delivery vehicles
- Ensure the accurate picking, and packing of outgoing stock for the relevant delivery vehicle
- Label deliveries and allocate them to designated location and transporter

**Experience, skills and qualifications**
- Matric (High School Diploma)
- Fully conversant with import and export laws and regulations.
- 3 - 4 years’ experience in logistics and transport coordination
- Knowledge of customs clearing processes and procedures related to the import and export of goods
- General road freight, imports, and exports knowledge
- Good communication skills
- Good general technical and systems understanding as well as good PC skills (MS Office)
- Ability to work independently
- Assertive and confident
- Reliable and sober habits
- Ability to manage, supervise and oversee the relevant stakeholders
- Attention to detail

**Education**:

- High School (matric) (required)

**Experience**:

- logistics and transport coordination: 3 years (required)
