Manufacturing Warehouse Superintendent

A vacancy exists in the Logistics department, for a Warehouse Superintendent.

The positions are based in Rosslyn, Pretoria. The incumbent will report directly to the Logistics Manager.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Ensure the effective and efficient supervision of the warehouse functions, including, picking, packing, stock control, receiving and dispatch
- Perform an effective and efficient management of stock within the Plant
- Ensure stock productivity targets are met daily, weekly and monthly.
- Ensure all stock can be accounted for (98% accuracy)
- Inventory administration and ensure that stock movement is captured 100% on the system.
- Pro-actively manage receiving, dispatching and general warehouse duties.
- Oversee the safe receipt and storage of stock within the warehouse.
- Check daily branch stock levels with all role-players.
- Pro-actively liaise with all role-players to ensure that outstanding stock is followed up and that stock levels is adjusted accordingly.
- Plan the arrangement of stock within the warehouse according to company standards
- Ensure health and safety standards and requirements are met within the warehouse
- Ensure the effective and efficient management of employees
- Management of third-party warehouse
- Management of customer complaints and queries
- Excellence Activities in the business as part of the continuous improvement initiatives.
- National Diploma in Logistics Management, Operations/Production Management or relevant qualification
- 3-5 years’ experience in warehousing within a manufacturing or FMCG industry.
- 1-2 years’ experience in a supervisory position
- At least 1 years’ experience of ERP systems i.e. JDE, Kronos, Qlickview
