**Overview**

Established company with a branch office in Maitland, Cape Town is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified Warehouse Assistant.

**Key responsibilities**

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
1. Perform stock picking according to the pick slip and procedure.

2. Offloading, packing, stacking, picking and loading of stock.

3. Do stock take and cycle counts and update stock sheets.

4. Complete all documentation and adhere to administration procedure.

5. Do housekeeping and maintain safe working practices ( Internal and external).

6. Identify problem areas and implement corrective actions.

8. Render assistance to branch personnel as required.

9. Work overtime a required including on a Saturday in accordance with work schedule.

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**:

- Preferably Grade 12.
- Minimum of 1 year general warehousing experience including picking and stock handling.
- Good command of English ( Speaking, writing and reading) as well as good understanding of Afrikaans.
- Numerical ability ( counting, adding, subtraction, multiplication and division).
- Medically fit with full physical mobility.
- Ability to develop and maintain sound inter personal relationships.
- Must be able to work overtime including Saturday's in accordance with work schedule.
- Valid South African motor vehicle lisence (E/EB) will be beneficial.
- Ability to function under time pressure, focus on detail, and accuracy, achieve set outcomes.

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Cape Town, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
