Purpose: The purpose of the ISS Solution Architect is to design, develop, and oversee the implementation of IT solutions that meet the strategic goals of the client. This includes providing value into the pre-sales activities such as opportunity qualification, responding to tenders as well as quote and proposal generation and managing vendor and stakeholder relationships.

Qualifications and experience required:

- 5-7 years of experience as a Solution Architect within the ISS environment
- A National Senior Certificate
- Information Technology Diploma or Degree
- Physical Security industry or product related certification (ASIS, Axis ACP or a higher level of OEM certification)

Technical Skills and Systems:

- Strong understanding of software development methodologies, such as Agile and DevOps.

- Experience and understanding in designing and implementing physical security systems.
- Familiar with industry best practices

Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to the below):

- Designing and overseeing the implementation of ISS architecture to ensure it aligns with the business strategy and meets the needs of the client.
- Developing and maintaining architectural blueprints, ensuring they are scalable, reliable, and secure.
- Working with business leaders, sales and project managers to gather and define requirements.
- Translating business requirements into technical solutions, balancing functional requirements with IT constraints.
- Providing technical guidance and support to teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Remaining up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, and assessing the potential impact on the organization.
- Leading architectural reviews and ensuring that solutions are built according to specifications.
- Overseeing the technical aspects of project delivery, including managing timelines, resources, and budgets.
- Ensuring that solutions are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Producing and maintaining high-quality technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, design specifications, and operational procedures.
- Ensuring that solutions comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Leading efforts to ensure that solutions are secure and resilient against threats.
- Evaluating opportunities and providing pre-sales support which includes creating quotes and proposals and responding to tenders.
- Managing stakeholder and vendor relationships.
- Managing timelines, resources, and budgets.
