**JUNIOR ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENTIST**

A firm of Consulting Engineers is seeking a Junior Environmental Scientist for their office in Cape Town. The salary will be market related and dependant on the applicant’s qualifications and experience.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Compilation of reports (basic assessments, scoping reports, environmental impact assessments, audit reports, etc).
- Assistance with day-to day administration of projects, including public participation associated with projects.
- Planning and completing environmental audits.
- Undertaking on-site environmental monitoring, training, and guidance to contractors.
- Review of contractors Quality Control Plans and Construction Method Statements.
- Compiling proposal and project reports.
- General office and project related admin, where required.

**QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE**
- Relevant degree (BSc or BTech) in Environmental Science or Environmental Management or related field. Postgraduate degree will be an added advantage.
- Efficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Microsoft Office Projects (advantageous).
- At least 5 years’ post qualification experience in the environmental impact assessment and monitoring field.

**ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS**
- Own Vehicle
- Valid Driver’s Licence
- Willingness to travel (where required)
