Contract Lecturer

STADIO is a comprehensive private higher education institution, consisting of the following academic schools: Administration and Management Architecture and Engineering Commerce Education Fashion Humanities Information Technology Law Media and Design Policing and Law Enforcement Key Roles and Responsibilities Lecture and assess distance learning students in the Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE): Senior Phase and Further Education and Training Teaching programme in the following modules: **>Education Studies**: Contextual Perspectives (Semester 1) **>Education Studies**: Contextual Perspectives (Semester 2) **>Education Studies**: Theory and Practice (Semester 1) **>Education Studies**: Theory and Practice (Semester 1) - Teaching Practice (Semester 1) - Teaching Practice (Semester 2) Compile teaching, learning, and assessment materials. Use a learning management system independently and/or work collaboratively to develop and deliver modules. Provide academic support to students. Complete all Quality Assurance requirements related to the modules and programmes. Ensure prompt and effective communication with students, colleagues, line managers, and other members of management. Ensure administrative efficiency, effectiveness and compliance with all policies and SOPs. Participate in and attend meetings and workshops. Fulfil functions on relevant committees, and in meetings and workshops as reasonably requested by management. Fulfil all reasonably expected administrative functions relating to the position and as requested by the relevant line manager. **REQUIREMENTS**: **Minimum Requirements**: Relevant higher education lecturing experience will be an advantage. Experience in curriculum and materials development. Experience in online teaching and learning environments will be an advantage **Qualifications**: Minimum Bachelor of Education Honours or equivalent qualification. Undergraduate qualification must include the relevant PGCE specialisation. **Key Attributes**: Sound teaching and assessment skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organisational and coordination skills with the ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines. High level of computer proficiency with good knowledge of modern Information Technology infrastructure and online learning platforms. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to cope with change. Access to stable and fast internet access. Flexibility to work in the evenings and on weekends.
