**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS**:
- NQF Level 7 qualification in Commerce / Engineering or Supply Chain Management essential.
- Minimum of 10 years relevant experience in supply chain and / or procurement.
- Must have strong Metals and Mining experience with in-depth understanding of PGM’s, Base Metals and energy commodities.
- Sound knowledge of inclusive procurement, strategic sourcing and enterprise
- and supplier development.
- Good understanding of ESG, ESD and development drivers.
- Good awareness of how inclusive procurement can be utilized to drive inclusive local growth
- Ability to engage and influence key decision makers to inform strategic direction.
- Sound understanding of legal framework and regulations governing procurement practices i.e. Mining Charter and BBBEE.
- Must have strong analytical capabilities, both quantitative and qualitative.
- Well-developed organisational skills and ability to collaborate across a global team
- Excellent communication
- problem solving and decision making skills.
- Determined and resilient, detail focused and ability to work independently and deliver according to tight timeframes.
- Advanced computer literacy (MS Office Suite and exposure to SAP )
**4. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES**:
- Strategically position the Group’s Procurement to support overall business objectives.
- Drive commercial benefit for the group whilst ensuring developmental objectives of local businesses are also met.
- Implement and maintain Inclusive Procurement strategy, policy, procedures, standards, targets and associated reporting. Specific focus to increase host community and local to site spend must form part of this strategy.
- Provide the Business Units/Operating Divisions with guidance and have an in-depth knowledge of public legislation and policy across operating geographies as these relate to Inclusive Procurement and Strategic Sourcing.
- Ensure systems are in place and reports are compiled for internal and external use and presentation to management.
- Maintain and implement Responsible sourcing strategy, standards, procedures and reporting.
- Develop standards and protocols on engaging business chambers, feedback mechanisms and external reporting structures to ensure fair and transparent procurement practices.
- Develop and provide implementation oversight of uniform funding mechanisms in support of SMME development.
- Initiate and drive the implementation of SMME support programmes and funding mechanisms.
- Implement SROI tracking and reporting on SMME development programmes.
- Develop localization and beneficiation programmes that can benefit host community SMMEs.
- Ensure ESG requirements are incorporated in SMME development programmes.
- Lead and support direct/matrix reports in the Inclusive Procurement function.
- Lead and/or participate where required, strategic programmes to ensure localication and/or industrialization.
- Guide the development of supplier development and partnerships to improve local development impacts in host communities.
- Review and facilitate the unbundling of spend to ensure more inclusive procurement practices in core & non-core activities.
- Drive standardization of ESD support structures and mechanisms across the Group.
- Ensure that in South Africa specific transformative legislative requirements are met i.e.: BBBEE Act, Mining Charter etc.
**Salary**: From R1,200,000.00 per year
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Illovo, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)
