I am looking for a newly qualified CA(SA) to join my client within the manufacturing and production sector. The position is that of a Financial Controller and is responsible to ensure control over finances of the business, by implementing appropriate internal controls, enforcing compliance with internal controls and analysing business results. The incumbent will also oversee an Assistant Accountant providing guidance and leadership to the team member. This is an excellent opportunity for an up and coming CA(SA) to develop their career and get a firm foot on the ladder to success.

**Responsibilities**:

- Issue monthly financial results pack together with commentary to Head of Finance in accordance with timings in the month-end results timetable
- Review input of all VAT and payroll returns on e-filing in line with SARS deadlines to ensure correctly reported to SARS before submission and payment
- Preparation of cash flow forecast - daily/weekly/monthly/annual forecast
- Liaise with bankers providing necessary info to meet requirements for facilities in use
- Compute & update costings for forecasting and annual budgeting purposes
- Monthly review of actual versus budgeted/forecasted costs
- Liase with shipping agents to ensure all imports orders are scheduled to arrive within scheduled timelines
- Book forward exchange contracts with the bank in accordance with company policy on covering foreign purchases
- Liase with auditors and prepare audit related schedules monthly and in advance of the audit to meet audit deadlines
- Prepare overhead & CAPEX annual budget per company
- Assist with any other duties as reasonably requested by management to assist with

**Requirements**:

- CA(SA) or eligible to register as a CA(SA)
