**JOB**: WAREHOUSE MACHINE OPERATOR (Level 2) **REPORTING TO**: WAREHOUSE SHIFT TEAM LEADER ROLE OVERVIEW We are looking for a motivated and safety-conscious machine operator to join our logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating reach and forklift trucks to facilitate the movement of materials within our factory, ensuring efficient and safe handling of products. KEY JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES - Offloading deliveries from supplier vehicles coming into the factory with stock, equipment, consumables - Loading of finished good deliveries going out of factory to the DC - Put away from staging areas for received items including DC Returns into the racked locations - Picking as per picking list/transfer orders from racked locations into UP approach, subcon staging areas, returns to suppliers, destruction etc. - Shunting of pallets as required from warehouses - Participate in all physical inventory counts including cycle count - Sampling all incoming components as per quality standards - Ensuring highest quality is maintained in regard to correct and accurate put away, picking, loading and offloading - Participate in auditing exercises with regards to corrective put away, picking - Ensure highest quality is maintained in regard to equipment check and maintenance, inspection, incidents and battery up keeping and charging - Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly working area and warehouse, in regard to the housekeeping specifications and expectation - Perform all duties in accordance with L’ORÉAL’s policies, practices and procedures PROFESSIONAL & TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES - Creates value, innovates and is customer centric - Controls risk and operates responsibly - Operates according to internal control principles - Evaluates and manages risks - "Make it happen" with operational excellence and agility - Attention to detail - Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team - Positive attitude and a proactive approach to problem-solving - Commitment to safety and quality in all tasks - Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively EDUCATION AND EXEPRIENCE - Grade 12 (maths and science advantageous) - Valid forklift and reach truck operator certificate - Minimum 1- 3 years experience in a warehouse - Familiarity with inventory management system (SAP) - Experience in warehousing processes (e.g. Receiving, Put Away, Picking, Dispatch, etc.) - Basic understanding of warehouse operations and safety practice - Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory tracking ( Smart tablet) L’OREAL COMPETENCIES - Innovator - Strategist - People Developer - Integrator - Entrepreneur We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and take pride in a diverse environment.
