Supervisor Counsellor

**Work Description**

The Supervisor Counsellor directs and oversees the work of the Lay, Adherence and Retention Counsellors toward the achievement of specific programme goals.

**Technical Work Responsibilities**
- Supervise Lay, Adherence and Retention Counsellors
- Draft and retain monthly schedules
- Oversee that all staff have the necessary tools, equipment and material for effective productivity
- Visit staff regularly at facilities and meet with all staff at least on a monthly basis
- Liaise with facilities where the subordinates are based
- Manage staff performance
- Attend to complaints and take corrective actions

**Education**
- Matric/Grade 12

**Advantageous**
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Social/Health Sciences

**Experience**
- 2 years’ experience in a HIV Counselling and Testing

**Requirements**:

- Basic knowledge or training in general or project management
- HIV counselling and Testing certificate
- RTQII knowledge
- Basic computer skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills

**Advantageous**
- Valid Driver’s Licence
- Own Vehicle
