**CNC Setter & Operator**

Molenaar is looking for a skilled **CNC Setter & Operator** who is looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity in a high-tech, fast-paced manufacturing environment and is a hands-on, detail-oriented individual who wants to join our **Machine Shop** team.

As a CNC Setter & Operator, you’ll be responsible for setting and operating a range of CNC and conventional machines to perform precise and complex machining operations. You’ll play a key role in maintaining quality, optimising processes, and supporting team efficiency.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Fitter & Turner Red Seal or relevant qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of CNC machining experience
- Experience in setting CNC machines with multiple axes (such as CNC Lathe, 3-axis and 4-axis Milling machines)
- Proficient in operating conventional machines (Lathe, Milling, and Router)
- Comfortable operating various machines within the machine shop
- Ability to alter existing programs using shorthand programming
- Knowledge of Fanuc control panels is essential
- Able to work independently and unsupervised
- Reliable, with the ability to work effectively under pressure and handle high workloads

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Set up and operate CNC machinery to perform precision machining operations
- Collaborate with programmers to optimise machining processes (jigs, fixtures, tools, methods, speeds & feeds)
- Support problem-solving within the shop to enhance efficiency
- Identify and resolve machining issues, including tool wear, programming or setup errors, and machine faults
- Provide training and technical support to fellow setters, operators, and apprentices
- Keep up to date with advancements in CNC technologies and machining practices
- Promote and drive 6S principles and ensure compliance with Molenaar’s standards

**Additional Information**:

- Must be willing to work shifts (2-shift and/or 3-shift systems)
- Must be willing to work overtime
