Medwell SA is looking to acquire the services of a Finance Officer for their regional branch in Bellville.

**Main Purpose of the position**:Administering accounting operations and financial transactions of Medwell. Providing financial and administrative support to clients and stakeholders of the business

**Minimum Requirements**: Accounts/Debtors clerk with minimum 3 years’ experience in Finance and/or related functions. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Experience with Goodex Medical Practice software (beneficial).

**Responsibilities**:

- **Invoicing**

Issue tax invoices, credit notes and account summaries to patients

Claim services for various medical schemes on GoodX

Resolve all account queries

Issue Payment Summary to clients/patients for SARS
- **Creditors**

Request monthly invoices and statements from Creditors

Process creditors invoices on GoodX

Process stock invoices on GoodX

Completing Creditor Applications for management approval

Reconciliation between creditor statement and GoodX account

Send all reconciliations to Head Office
- **Debt Collecting**

Resend statements to patients and medical schemes on outstanding accounts

Collections from patients on a regular basis

Follow ups with medical schemes on outstanding claims

Handover of patients not adhering to payment terms
- **Ad hoc**

Work closely with Financial Manager to complete month end

Control of stock being used by Registered Nurses in the branch

Vehicle Traffic Fine reconciliations

Getting quote approvals for all purchases for branch

Checking that spend of branch stays in budget

Updating the stock list after stock take and when stock comes in
