CT International Financiers has been a leader in the consumer finance industry, locally and internationally for over 30 years, and due to the group expanding in factoring and trade finance, we require the services of a Chief Financial Officer. The CFO will work closely with our CEO, managing efficiencies, expansion and risk.

The CFO will be responsible for the financial health of the organisation; producing financial reports; directing investment activities and developing strategies and plans for the long-term financial goals of the organisation.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- High level oversight of the group finance function and identification of strategies to maximise shareholder return and reduce risks
- Strategic analysis of the organisation’s accounts and finances
- Profit planning and control
- Decision making
- Resolving queries relating to the organisations’ finances; both internally and from relevant government institutions
- Manage international payments & imports
- Joint credit vetting of potential clients
- Assisting clients in maximizing value through their business relationship
- Planning, tracking and reporting on cash flow
- Oversee the entire group finance function and manage the finance team
- Devise and implement cost saving strategies
- Actively manage the entire group’s tax affairs including both VAT and income tax so as to ensure compliance while minimizing liability
- Manage accounting for complex trade finance agreements
- Continuously analyse and improve the company’s consumer lending policies as well as identifying and minimising risk
- Credit and risk management from both a regulatory & compliance perspective
- Budgeting and Forecasting
- Conduct in-depth analysis of costs and pricing using various tools and provide strategic direction
- Consolidating and collating monthly reporting for the Group and providing strategic analysis and recommendations to the CEO
- Assist with expansion of business units into other African countries
- Business development - identify and drive new market opportunities, develop new strategies to grow revenue and profits in the business

**Required skills and experience**
- At least 5 years’ experience in a senior management role with high level
- decision making & ability to interact at Board level
- Ability to adopt a “hands-on” approach to managing the financial wellbeing of the organization
- Attention to detail and proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risk is essential
- Confident & Pro-active leadership approach
- Financial degree CA (SA) / B Com or equivalent
- SAICA or CIMA registration advantageous
- Innovative and ambitious with a can-do attitude
- Sound knowledge of tax legislation and complex tax structures
- Advanced Excel skills and data modelling
- Good presentation skills
- Good communication and relationship building skills
- Some knowledge of consumer lending policies and practices in African countries would be advantageous

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Goodwood, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
