Our mine, situated in the Limpopo Province about 60 kilometers from Lydenburg and 40 kilometers from Burgersfort, and is a world-class producer of Chrome Ore.
The successful applicant will report to the Senior Procurement Officer or nominee.
**MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS**:
- Grade 12 / Standard 10 Certificate.
- Certificate: Supply Chain / Purchasing / Logistics.
- Code 08 (B) Driver’s Licence.
- ** Advantageous**: South African Institute of Professional Accountants (SAIPA) Membership.
**EXPERIENCE (including but not limited to)**:
- 3 - 5 years practical experience in Buying / Purchasing / Procurement in a Plant / Manufacturing / Mining environment.
**DUTIES (including but not limited to)**:
- Provide a professional support service in the buying / procurement function whilst ensuring cost savings and adherence to set standards and requirements.
- Execute, expedite and maintain all purchase orders. Sourcing of alternative suppliers when required. Ensure accurate quality and quantity of products. Ensure procurement savings occur. Resolve customer queries. Processing and maintenance of forward purchase agreements.
- Source quotations and tenders from suppliers. Negotiate delivery and lead times. Responsible for transport arrangements toward ensuring smooth operations. Product knowledge.
- Daily reports:
- Requisitions, quotations, expected deliveries, and approved orders reports.
- Weekly reports:
- Expediting report
- Monthly reports:
- Open orders, overdue orders, orders processed, RFQ, requisition and cost savings reports.
