Netball Coach

**Job description** The B-Active Group is looking for enthusiastic hard-working coaches with the ability to coach netball at Developmental/Participation Level, Monday-Saturday **13:00-16:00. The salary proposed for this position is between R4000-R8000 dependent on experience)**. Must be qualified and experienced in umpiring netball matches Do you think you have what it takes? (17 February) **Training process**:At least 2 weeks of "shadowing" / workshops must be completed before starting. This is paid or unpaid depending on your experience or position. **Who is this for**:Available to enthusiastic dedicated individuals who would like to pursue a career in health, wellness and fitness coaching, management, franchising, marketing, the options are endless. This phenomenal coach will help each participating student achieve a high level of involvement in class activities and sport related events and to responsibly supervise all activities ensuring appropriate student conduct. Student behavior should follow expectations as outlined in the school’s and B-Active student/coach handbook. To instruct student athletes in the fundamentals, rules, strategies and physical training needed for individual and team success that leads to pride, self-confidence and self discipline. **Please note we are a start-up who is always adapting to the needs of our members, therefore you must be willing to adapt your responsibilities as well.** You must be willing to travel in the JHB area using your own car, data, airtime, laptop and cellphone. **Traits we value in our team**:Excellent communication, admin, timekeeping, and people skills. **Minimum requirements**:Valid driver license, reliable car, own cellphone, laptop and data/airtime. Matric (Grade 12), work experience, 1+ years coaching experience (2-14 years old students)We thank you for taking interest in joining our team, this process is not easy but defiantly worth it. **Position Duties, Responsibilities and Minimum Expectations**: - Coaches will plan, schedule and implement a regular program of training and attend all practices, competitions, meetings and activities for each sport. Head coaches are responsible to train, delegate to, communicate with, encourage professional development of and supervise any Assistant Coaches for the sport. Coaches will communicate and coordinate on a regular basis with the Sport Heads of School and B-Active Group. - Provides training rules and any other regulations and requirements to each athlete. - Create and implement training sessions that focus on improving technical proficiency, tactical awareness and physical fitness - Accountable for all equipment and submits to the B-Active Group notice of any equipment lost or not returned. Submits a monthly inventory and records of equipment. - Analyze team's performance and provide feedback to players - Develop strategies for team's success and prepare game plans that maximize team's potential - Mentor and motivate players to reach their full potential - Collaborate with team management and other coaches to ensure effective communication and coordination of team's activities - Identify and recruit talented young players for future teams - Maintain a safe and positive training and playing environment for all team members Physical Activity Requirements and Occupational Exposures: - Frequent sitting, bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing, pushing and pulling. - Continuous standing and walking. - Occasional reaching and fine motor skills. - Repetitive motion of ankles and knees. - Lifting of up to 20 kgs. on a frequent basis. - Normal vision requirements. - Hot, cold and rainy weather. **Job Type**: Part-time Pay: R4 000,00 - R8 000,00 per month **Experience**: - coaching: 1 year (preferred) Willingness to travel: - 50% (preferred) Work Location: In person Application Deadline: 2025/02/24 Expected Start Date: 2025/02/24
