- We are looking for a Community Linkage Officer who will be responsible for HTS and ensure that proper linkage to care of all HIV infected patients is done according to DoH guidelines._
**Key duties and responsibilities**:
- Mobilising people in the communities to encourage them to get tested prior screening
- Provide HIV testing services (HTS) to clients
- Be available to assist all clients tested for HIV in the facility and from the community outreach sites
- Ensure that all clients tested positive are linked into care
- Provide Index testing to all HIV positive clients found in the community
- Keep proper records of clients who are tested and initiated on ART
- Attend program meetings as required to discuss HTS/HIV/TB/STI related issues
- Give Health education on HIV/TB and STI
- Ensure Quality testing by adhering to RTCQI standards
**Minimum qualifications and experience**:
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- At least 2 years’ experience working as a HTS counsellor preferably in the community setting
- Certificate in Basic Hast, HIV Counselling, Adherence counselling
- Knowledge of DoH, HTS guidelines and protocols
- Must be able to work independently and in a team
- Be able to work with little supervision
- Good communication skills
