**POSITION PURPOSE**

Provide technical maintenance services on Electrical, Access Control, CCTV infrastructure and Fire Detection Equipment across “the dtic” Campus. (Planned Preventative, Corrective and Emergency Maintenance). Resolves day-to-day technical problems and troubleshoot related to Electrical, Access Control, CCTV infrastructure and Fire Detection Equipment.

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES OF THE TECHNICIAN**
- Technical Scope:_
- Maintenance on all Access Control, CCTV infrastructure and Fire Detection Equipment infrastructure across the campus.
- Determine component layouts, build new switch cabinets and maintain all electrical and electronics equipment.
- Ensure that the work environment is safe and meets the required standards.
- Identify electrical components for switch cabinets and machines to ensure reliable electrical control systems.
- Maintain and repair electrical equipment to ensure the smooth running of the machinery/electrical equipment.
- Perform inspection and diagnostic fault finding.
- Provide technical advice and service such as installation and repair services.
- Resolves day-to-day technical problems.
- Troubleshoot electrical devices problem.
- Financial support_
- Financial approvals for planned preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance and emergency maintenance work completed by Service Providers.
- Follow up on outstanding work instruction, uploading of invoices and the closeout reports from Service Providers that completed scheduled work.
- Obtain quotes as and when so required.
- Review and Motivate Quotes to Accounts Manager as per requirement.
- Managed the process to ensure timelines are met and the client are informed at all times.
- Asset verification on Access Control, CCTV & Fire Detection equipment._
- Regular condition inspection and testing of all Access Control, CCTV & Fire Detection equipment during preventative maintenance schedules performed.
- Asset verification on existing Access Control, CCTV & Fire Detection equipment during the routine planned preventative maintenance performed.
- Update the asset database with all changes on Access Control, CCTV & Fire Detection equipment.
- Perform asset tagging for all newly installed Access Control, CCTV & Fire Detection equipment.
- Upload the asset data sheet and warrantees for newly installed Access Control, CCTV & Fire Detection equipment.
- Manage the end-to-end process for asset tagging, to ensure the sites not tagged yet as well as supplying service providers for new asset tag numbers to ensure no work instruction are issued without asset numbers.
- Do site inspections if and where required to verify assets and site conditions.
- Do site inspections and do asset tagging where required.
- Ensure that new assets are loaded on the asset database.
- Attend to queries and non-conformances_
- Do site inspections with the Broll service providers on site and performance issues.
- Give written feedback and reports on findings and solutions.
- Site Handovers & Equipment Handovers._
- Attend site handovers/ Equipment Handovers with the Broll service providers as well as the landlord.
- Ensure the Broll process are followed with new site take on and site closures.
- Manage Support and Feedback._
- Update the Broll system/ Concept on events daily to add comments on the level of completion of outstanding work instructions.
- Keep track of feedback on a daily basis to clients internal and external.
- Support the accounts manager to obtain all data to ensure daily, weekly and monthly reports are send to the client as to the client’s requirements.
- Familiars yourself with the client SLA and manage the Broll dashboard to ensure you comply with the SLA and requirements.
- Adhere to all Broll process and policies at all times
- Operational Duties_
- Register all calls or requests on the CMMS system in accordance to the Call Centre standards
- Follow up on Customer complaints and provide timeous feedback to Customers
- Conduct effective tracking of all workplace related requests and calls
- Monitor the Client’s fault-logging system (CMMS System), log faults from the system and follow up with the relevant Manager
- Dispatch job cards on the CMMS system to the respective service providers
- Report for on-site maintenance work & obtain off-site check out on job cards, as per Client & Company requirements
- Implement equipment service specifications in accordance with Client & Company requirements
- Install & commission access equipment, Fire Panels and CCTV equipment in accordance with the manufacturers specifications.
- Perform planned preventative maintenance on access equipment, Fire Panels and CCTV equipment according to the PPM Scheduler.
- Perform inspection and testing on of facility, air-conditioning equipment on site, identify areas of risk & report back for rectification
- Ensure that preventative or emergency fault rectification complies with the relevant statutory requirements and manufacturer
