We are seeking an experienced QA Lead to join our team at JOBJACK. As the QA Lead, you will be prviding technical leadership and guidance within the quality assurance team and organization and ensure the successful delivery of software testing projects by leveraging QA expertise and leadership skills. You will play a crucial role in establishing and maintaining quality assurance processes, defining testing strategies, and implementing best practices to deliver high-quality software.

**The Role**:
This is a summary of the QA Lead role and the key responsibilities:
**1. Test Strategy and Planning**:

- Develop a comprehensive test strategy to meet product quality goals, incorporating considerations for functionality, security, performance, and scalability.
- Communicate and promote best practices in quality assurance throughout the testing and product development lifecycle.
- Plan testing activities, resource allocation, and timelines to ensure effective test coverage.
- Define test objectives, scope, and requirements for each testing phase.
- Identify potential risks and mitigation strategies for successful test execution.

**2. Test Execution and Maintenance**:

- Execute, review, and maintain test cases, ensuring thorough testing coverage for all aspects of the product.
- Create test scenarios that adhere to established patterns, promoting clarity and ease of understanding for the QA team.
- Contribute to the overall quality of the testing process by addressing edge cases, errors, and anomalies.
- Critically review testing tasks, ensuring appropriate sizing and prioritization for continuous integration and incremental delivery.
- Implement necessary technical controls to enhance the quality of the testing process.

**3. Quality Assurance Processes**:

- Define and enforce quality assurance processes and standards.
- Conduct regular reviews and audits to ensure compliance with QA standards.
- Implement new tools, techniques, and methodologies to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.
- Encourage experimentation and learning within the QA team to drive continuous improvement.
- Monitor industry trends and best practices to stay updated on emerging QA technologies.
- Take charge of relevant QA sprint-related ceremonies:

- Sprint Retrospective
- Sprint planning
- Backlog refinement

**4. Collaboration and Communication**:

- Communicate with stakeholders to understand project requirements and priorities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, product management, and operations.
- Participate in project planning, status meetings, and release planning sessions.
- Address stakeholder concerns and prioritise testing activities based on project needs.

**5. Team Leadership and Development**:

- Lead and manage the QA team effectively.
- Craft and host the onboarding experience for new QA team members.
- Provide mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities to team members.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the QA team.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and skill development among team members.
- Conduct probation and performance evaluations as well as regular feedback to team members.

**Requirements**:

- 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance
- Prior experience in a leadership or management role in QA
- Strong understanding of quality assurance processes, methodologies, test case design, and defect tracking
- Experience with test planning, test case creation, and execution
- Proficient in using testing tools and frameworks
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality results
- Experience with Agile development methodologies
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Certifications in quality assurance or related fields are a plus
