**To assist with the execution / management of Litigation, Policy Reviews, Contracts, Intellectual Property, and Opinion work in respect of**:

- CCMA Arbitrations
- Labour Court Litigation
- High Court Litigation
- Special Tribunals
- Enforcement / prosecution / objection of the Intellectual Property
- Drafting, vetting and negotiation of corporate / commercial contracts, funding contracts, research
- contracts, IT contracts.
- Legal Review of SOP’s, internal policies and protocols.
- Review of legislative Instruments.
- Appeals / Objections in respect of Procurement.
- 1Liaison with forensic investigations where those encompass interphase with criminal justice process.

**The prospective LRC legal professional temp will be expected to attend to and execute, with minimum supervision, such work as may be delegated / instructed by the LRCM in respect of**:

- Drafting, vetting of all contract forms that the company is party to or is considering.
- Developing Templates / internal Protocol for all contract forms relevant to the company.
- Consideration and evaluation of the litigation (in ordinary courts and special tribunals)
- approach to litigious matters thereby assisting the determination to be made by the LRCM on
- whether and how, the company should defend / initiate litigation.
- Prepare memorandum of advice on legality / regularity / prospects of decisions taken /
- considered by company leadership / management.
- Consider and advise on cost saving instruments / mechanisms in respect of use of external
- attorneys / counsel.
- Consider and comment on the legality / regularity of advisory notes, regulations and other
- instruments developed by company in the execution of its statutory mandate.
- Make inputs into the LRCM development of the structural and operational design and outlook
- of the LRCM.**Inherent Requirements**

**Requirements**:

- One admitted Attorney with:
**Minimum Requirements**
- Minimum 5 years’ experience post admission, managing instructions to attorneys / brief to counsel or personally appearing in the Labour Courts, Civil Courts, Special Tribunals.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience post admission in commercial / corporate contract drafting, vetting and negotiation.
- Minimum 2 years’ cumulative experience as in-house legal adviser / counsel in an entity listed in
- PFMA Schedule 3A / 3B and regulated by the Public Finance Management Act 1 of 1999, as amended.

**Advantageous Requirements**:

- Basic practice management / in-house team / project leader experience.
- Practice experience employed by / servicing a client in the science / research sector.
- Experience in intellectual property practice.
- Experience in the mining sector
- Experience in the health / safety sector
- Sound understanding of the legislative process.
