Wood Machinist

-Key Responsibilities

1. Operational Management

Oversee the daily operations of the 6-cutter moulding machine to meet production targets.

Monitor and adjust machine settings to ensure optimal performance and precision.

Plan and prioritize production schedules based on customer orders and deadlines.

2. Team Leadership

Supervise, train, and motivate the production team to achieve efficiency and quality standards.

Allocate tasks and ensure proper workflow coordination among team members.

Foster a safe, respectful, and productive work environment.

3. Quality Assurance

Conduct quality checks to ensure products meet specifications and client expectations.

Identify and resolve defects, ensuring mínimal waste and downtime.

4. Maintenance and Troubleshooting

Perform regular machine maintenance to avoid disruptions.

Diagnose and address mechanical issues promptly with mínimal impact on operations.

Liaise with the maintenance team for scheduled servicing and repairs.

5. Inventory and Materials Management

Monitor stock levels of raw materials and tools, ensuring timely replenishment.

Track finished goods inventory and coordinate with dispatch for timely delivery.

6. Compliance and Reporting

Ensure compliance with workplace safety, health, and environmental regulations.

Prepare and submit production reports, including downtime analysis and efficiency metrics.
Qualifications and Skills

**Education**:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training in woodworking machinery or manufacturing processes is preferred.

**Experience**:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience operating and managing a 6-cutter moulding machine.

Proven experience in manufacturing skirtings, ceilings, flooring, and PAR timber.
