**Join Jem as our Multimedia Visual Creative.**

This is not your typical design job. It’s a chance to shape how one of South Africa’s fastest-growing tech brands shows up in the world.

Jem is looking for a Cape Town-based **Multimedia Visual Creative** to propel our brand through its next phase of growth. You’ll report to the Marketing Lead and balance visual design and video storytelling with a mandate to use AI and automation to work smarter, faster, and more creatively. This is a mid-level role (around 5 years’ experience) for someone with high agency, creative range, and a hunger to experiment with new tools and formats.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**:
**Your mission is to**make Jem look and feel world-class, across every touchpoint.** You’ll own creative execution across design, video, and multimedia storytelling to help Jem sell, onboard, and inspire customers. You will be responsible for:
**Visual Design & Branding**
- Create and adapt assets across Jem’s brand system: sales decks, proposals, one-pagers, onboarding guides, WhatsApp cards and event collateral.
- Design exhibition stands and event materials, coordinating final production with vendors.

**Video & Multimedia Storytelling**
- Capture and edit video content (customer stories, product explainers, event recaps).
- Produce short-form digital content for LinkedIn, HubSpot and WhatsApp.
- Use motion graphics and animation to bring stories to life.

**Website & Digital Presence**
- Manage and update visual content on Jem’s CMS.
- Learn and own this function within your first few months.

**AI & Automation**
- Use AI tools to speed up production, enhance creativity and automate repetitive work.
- Share learnings and new workflows with the team.

**Collaboration & Delivery**
- Manage your own creative backlog and priorities with the Marketing Lead.
- Translate briefs into high-impact outputs that drive leads, nurture clients and build brand equity.
- Take full ownership of deadlines, quality and execution.

**THIS IS FOR YOU IF**:

- You’re a strong digital designer who loves storytelling through visuals and video.
- You know your way around tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Premiere Pro, After Effects, or CapCut.
- You’re curious about AI and already experimenting with it.
- You have photography/videography skills and a sharp eye for human moments.
- You’re proactive, self-managed, and deliver without being chased.
- You move fast, think clearly, and care deeply about your craft.
- You’ve spent around 3-5 years in digital or multimedia design roles.

- Video becomes a core storytelling medium for Jem, produced in-house at a high standard.

- You’re a trusted creative partner who helps the Marketing Lead scale impact through execution.
