Qualifications / Requirements:

- Completed Matric / Grade 12
- Completed tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineer
- B-Tech Mechanical will be an added advantage
- Sound knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001 standards
- Valid drivers license essential
- Skills:

- Use of SAP advantageous
- Good influencing skills
- Customer focus

Key Performance Areas:

- Utilize basic quality tools along with problem solving and lean manufacturing techniques in the support of continuous improvement, root cause analysis, corrective/preventive actions promoting lessons learned process
- Able to lead cross-functional working groups and drive the conclusion of activities
- Initiate, complete and ensure proper conformity of engineering changes to quality standards
- Coordinate and arrange meetings and supporting activities
- Have an auditor perspective including being part of the solution
- Inspection measuring and testing Equipment Control Gauge Capability Studies (R+R);
- Conduct Process Audits and Product audits (station audits and final product audits)
- Control of external calibration Institutes; Inspection Instructions and Methods
- Non-conformance control; continuous improvements; Rules and Regulations; Safety and Health
- Ensure all audits are done according to the audit procedure and schedule
- Assist with the daily operational activities within the quality department
- Ensure all day-to-day activities are dealt with in a courteous, accurate and timely manner adhering to business standards
- Perform audits as per the schedule, assist during internal and external audit preparations
