Spotify Studios is the team that oversees relationships, development, and production associated with podcasts. We are looking for an experienced and passionate executive to own the development of our Sub Saharan Africa podcast strategy to further develop the regional podcast ecosystem.

You will be tasked with developing Spotify’s regional podcast strategy, with consideration for our global approach. That will involve leveraging industry understanding, insights and connections to make sure we serve podcasts listeners and creators in the most meaningful way.

What You'll Do
- Support the development of Spotify's podcast business strategy in SSA
- Coordinate partner onboarding to the platform
- Maintain relationships with content providers and creators
- Define and implement Spotify’s audio platform strategy
- Train, advise and educate creators across different tiers in the region at scale
- Engage internal and external partners and implement locally
- Collaborate with teams across Spotify including licensing, programming, marketing, analytics and more
- Work with the Content Insights and Analytics team to identify / monitor key market and competitive trends

Who You Are
- 5+ years of relevant work experience with a strategic background in media or content.
- You have a deep understanding of content consumption and platform engagement trends
- In addition to a solid understanding of the podcasting landscape across SSA, an excellent network within South Africa is required for the role
- English proficiency required, French and other local languages are a plus
- Experience in a podcast or audio business with established industry and creator relationships
- Excellent ability to form relationships with multiple internal/external partners
- Ability to understand, source and analyse sets of data and insights and utilise them for actionable recommendations to optimise our offering and growth
- Strong communication, presentation and partner leadership skills
- You are flexible to travel as required
- This position is based in Johannesburg, South Africa
