ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Wiring connection points after panels are installed (DC combiner boxes and AC combiner boxers).
- Connecting electrical components such as inverters, batteries, and charge controllers to ensure that they operate properly.
- Installing wiring and other electrical components in new construction projects, including commercial buildings, and residential homes.
- Liaise with the Technical Director to discuss project goals and requirements.
- Installing electrical wiring and equipment, such as transformers and switchgear, to support solar power systems.
- Installing connection points for batteries, battery boxes, and other battery components for solar power systems.
- Wiring panels to the main electrical box, connecting batteries or other energy storage devices to the system
- Administrative duties, namely certify installations completed by Cape Solace by issuing a Certificate of Compliance.
- Managing team efficiency and quality of work.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- 2 years’ work experience as a Qualified Electrician.
- Previous solar experience is advantageous.
- Wireman's license to issue electrical compliance certificates (ECOC) single-phase and three-phase.
- Completed NQF levels N1, N2 and N3 for Electrical Engineering (advantageous).
- Passed SANS 10142-1 National Exam.
- Previous solar experience is advantageous.
- Installer electrician trade test qualification.
- Registered with the Department of Labour.
- Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle.
- Oversee quality of installation.
