**Financial Analyst (Financial Services)**

**Location: La Lucia, KwaZulu Natal**

There is an exciting opportunity available for a **newly qualified CA(SA)** to join a reputable **financial services** concern as a **Financial Analyst**.

The **Financial Analyst **will assist the **Financial Manager **in** managing all financial accounting processes **for the** company’s Life and Insurance Divisions **to** ensure budgets are met **and to** optimize the business financial performance.**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- General Ledger Administration
- IFRS17 - Assist with preparing and implementing the IFRS17 requirements from a finance perspective.
- Commission Sign-off
- Monthly reconciliations
- Regulatory reporting
- Monthly reporting
- Audits / Annual Financial Statements
- Bi-annual SASRIA Audit
- Maintenance of Reinsurance Accounts
- Check BEE Schedules
- Assist in managing cash flow and budgeting processes.
- Complete Vat returns.
- Work closely with senior management team.

**Q**ualifications and Experience**:

- **Qualified Chartered Accountant**, **_CA(SA) essential_**.**:

- **A minimum of 3 years accounting experience** in an **Insurance / Financial environment**.
- Must be familiar with:

- **Long Term** and **Short-Term Insurance Act**:

- **Companies Act**:

- **VAT Act**:

- **Income Tax Act**:

- **Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act**:

- **Financial Intelligence Centre Act**:

- **IFRS 17 Standards**:

- At least **3 years additional long term and short-term insurance experience** within a **finance department** is preferred.
