- Reporting to LONG DISTANCE MANAGER- KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- 1. Daily planning, routing and scheduling of vehicles- 2. Ensure all activities regarding long distance operations are executed- 3. On-route control & monitoring- 4. Diesel control and fuel consumption management- 5. Assisting in the recruitment of quality drivers into the fleet- 6. Scheduling regular vehicle maintenance to ensure operational efficiency- 7. Maintaining detailed records of vehicle servicing and inspection- 8. Ensure all vehicles in the fleet are properly maintained; registered; licensed; and compliant with legal regulations- 9. Ensure that all collections and deliveries are managed in an efficient and speedy manner- 10. Remain in constant communication with drivers and clients- 11. Ensuring that customer / client relationships are maintained to the highest satisfaction- 12. Attend to general administration and documentation management on a daily basis- 13. Staff Management. Ensure that all staff members adhere to the Company policies and procedures.- 14. Take disciplinary action for non-conformances and breaches of discipline- 15. Report, monitor and manage all accidents and incidents-
**Inherent Requirements**
- LEVEL 4 EQUIVALENT TO GRADE 12 National Diploma in Transport Management a Bonus.- 4 + YEARS LONG DISTANCE FLEET CONTROLLER EXPERIENCE- Working Hours: 06:00AM TO 18:00pm- Knowledge:
- Knowledge of the transport industry.- Skills:
