We are looking to hire an experienced Deli/Restaurant manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our unit. The manager’s responsibilities include processing payments using the Point of Sale System, comprehensive inventory management, and ensuring that the unit is clean and well-presented at all times. You should also be able to oversee the maintenance and repair of equipment. **Food preparation knowledge is non-negotiable**
To be successful as a unit manager, you should demonstrate exemplary management and leadership skills and ensure that the staff carries out all duties efficiently. Ultimately, an exceptional manager should be able to achieve excellent customer service.
Manager Responsibilities:
- Recruiting, training, and supervising staff when required.
- Preparing weekly work schedules for staff and finding suitable replacements in cases of staff absence.
- Ensuring that all expenses are within budget and identifying ways to decrease operational costs with the Area manager.
- Receiving delivered supplies and verifying that the correct items and quantities have been delivered.
- Taking inventory of all stock and ordering new stock as needed.
- Resolving customer complaints regarding food quality and customer service.
- Suggesting new menu items based on customers' preferences and feedback.
- Identifying strategies to retain and attract customers.
Manager Requirements:
- Matric Certificate.
- Proven management experience in the hospitality industry.
- Sound knowledge of food health and safety regulations.
- Exemplary management skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication skills.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Own vehicle
- Valid drivers License
- Criminal record check
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Temp to perm
Part-time hours: 50 per week
**Salary**: R18,000.00 - R20,000.00 per month
