**MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE**

Support and assist the Legal Advisor by conducting legal research, reviewing and drafting legal contracts/documents and maintaining databases and tracking systems.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Assist with contract management and legal onboarding as per process
- Assist with monitoring tasks against regulatory requirements within GRC
- Conduct legal-related research and gather related legal information as and when required by the business
- Support the Legal Advisor (and GRC department) in the development and documentation of business-wide policies and procedures
- Assist with the review of legal contracts/documents
- Draft against approved templates
- Track and maintain a repository of contracts / documents / processes
- Monitor and update Regulatory Universe
- Assist the Legal Advisor to maintain regular methods of communication across all operational departments within the organisation
- Attend meetings with both internal and external stakeholders and track actions to close on legal advice/recommendations
- Escalation to HOD of areas of risk and action items that are pending from projects/GRC interactions

**QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**
- Degree - minimum LLB
- 2-5 Years of experience in a same or similar role
- Understanding of Regulatory Universe as risk-rated by the organisation
- Strong administration skills
- Ability to communicate on all levels
- Well-presented and well spoken
- Works effectively within a variety of situations
- Advanced computer knowledge - Microsoft Office (Word & Excel, PowerPoint)
- Good research skills
- Proficient in English
