Civil Draughtsman

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
Meet with civil engineers and discuss projects to gain a full understanding of expectations for each design

Receiving sketches from a civil engineer and converting them into digital documents using a computer-assisted drawing programs

Use knowledge of building materials, engineering practices, and mathematics to complete drawings

Creating topographical and relief maps of locations hosting new civil development projects

Producing planning documents for highways, sewage systems, dikes, and other infrastructure projects

Coordinating with civil servants on the creation of design documents to ensure projects meet specifications

Reading and assessing symbols on surveys of a plot of land and identifying any potential areas in a design that will not work with the provided plot

Producing duplications of plans both for record-keeping and for providing it to other project leaders

Explaining expectations on a civil works project to the crews executing the plans

**Requirements**:

- Degree in Engineering or Architecture / Diploma from a technical college
- Solid experience in computer-aided design and drafting (CADD)
- Ability to draw manually favourable, but not essential
- Ability to work well in a team and on your own
- Ability to manage time well and meet production deadlines
- Ability to respond well to criticism and maintain a positive attitude

The salary is negotiable based on experience and level of education.
