**purpose**:

- To support the build and maintenance of the data warehouse by actioning all database administrative activities on complex databases and to provide a client centric and secure database environment.**experience and qualifications**:

- Minimum Qualification - Relevant Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field and certification in databases, data warehouse, MCSE
- Preferred Qualification - Relevant Post grad Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field and certification in databases, data warehouse, MCSE
- Experience - 3 to 5 years experience in Database Administration and Data Warehousing
- Knowledge Required : Design and administration of logical and relational databases in diverse technological environments
- Troubleshooting and analysis protocol
- Various database systems - Oracle or MYSQL or SQL server
- Database queries and theory
- Distributed computing architectures
- Operating systems
- Storage technologies and networking
- Routine maintenance, recovery, and handling failover of a database
- Data Management
- Business Systems Data**additional requirements**:

- Minimum of 7 years’ experience, and knowledge of and experience with Oracle 12.2, 19c or higher.
- Solid understanding of Oracle internal architecture.
- Performing Oracle backups and restores using RMAN
- Ensure performance, security, and availability of databases.
- Basic understanding of data model for Oracle Release 12.2, 19C or higher.
- Knowledge of database procedures, upgrades, recovery options and database migration.
- Experience in performance tuning with high data volumes.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Must understand the systems development process and have a solid understanding of business processes.
- Ability to work effectively with clients and IT management and staff.
- Performing upgrades of the database and software to new release levels
- Good communication skills and must work well in a team environment.
- Extensive experience in Oracle Data Guard replication and physical standby for Disaster recovery
- Working experience of Oracle Database Appliance.
- Strong knowledge of OEM 13C grid monitoring configuration.
- Experience in database problem identification, problem diagnosis and resolution.
- Excellent communication, ability to explain a technical problem to management.
- Ability to work on high performing teams and deliver under pressure situations.
- Practical experience with advanced topology elements like Oracle Clusterware and Automatic Storage Management.
- Sound knowledge of and experience with Oracle’s Enterprise Manager 13c
- Presentation and Reporting skills.
- Experience of managing multiple Oracle installations on large systems.
- Knowledge of UNIX/zLinux and AIX OS
- Prepare documentations and specifications.
- Able to work under pressure, on own initiative and without constant supervision, to strict and tight deadlines.
- Required to provide 24x7 production support on a rotation schedule
