FAMSA Western Cape seeks to employ a full-time social worker counsellor based at the Factreton Office.

**Commencement date**:1 March 2025

**Requirements**:

- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a social worker.
- Counselling experience with individuals, couples, and families, trauma counselling.
- Reliable vehicle and willingness to travel as needed
- Fluent in English and Afrikaans.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Planning, coordinating, organizing and negotiating skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work well in a team and independently.
- Self-management.
- Able to take initiative.
- Administrative and Computer Skills.
- Attention to detail and comprehensive in completion work tasks.
- Meeting of deadlines.
- Adaptability and flexibility.
- Responsibility and reliability re use of official work time.
- Emotional maturity / stability.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Do short term individual, couple and family counselling, trauma counselling/support at the Factreton office and other FAMSA Western Cape offices when required.
- Talks and workshops within communities.
- Provide professional EWP services to corporate organisations at the FAMSA office/s, online, as well as on-site
- Providing talks and informational sessions.
- Media interviews, stakeholder meetings and networking as required.
- Involvement with organizational fundraising initiatives as required.
- Timeous wand accurate reporting.
- Supervision of Social Auxiliary Workers, volunteers and interns.

**Please note**:
Pay: R16 511,33 per month
