**Job Purpose**:
IL KZN is looking for an Air Imports Controller to join our Airfreight Division based at the King Shaka International Airport. This individual will be required to control procedures to process the flow of cargo from the time that the order is placed on an overseas supplier until the goods are delivered to the Importer. This function will also include all operational functions including the framing of entries on CargoWise / Compu Clearing.

- Minimum Matric Qualification Tertiary Qualification will be advantageous

**Experience**
- Previous experience as a Air Import Controller essential with a good working knowledge of all aspects of Airfreight Imports, including Forwarding, framing of entries.
- Highly developed interpersonal, communication and written skills with the ability to liaise professionally at all levels is essential.
- Ability to work to deadlines, under pressure and after hours as the need arises.
- Highly developed presentation and negotiating skills.
- Sound planning and organisational skills are essential. 7. Good working knowledge of incoterms and good geography knowledge.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Clearing of import cargo in accordance with the client requirements
- Track documentation flow from time of shipment to time of receipt in BIL and EMO offices.
- Create shipping files and register on CW / Frame the Bill of Entry on CargoWise / CCL
- Track cargo
- Expedite cargo with carriers, terminals, depots and other transport operators
- Keep clients informed and handle queries from clients and other stakeholders and departments
- Ensure that disbursements are recorded and recovered
- Initiate claims in respect of lost, damaged or discrepant cargo
- Carry out acquittal procedure
- Handle FQMS Queries
- Load WIPS and ACCRUALS on shipment level
