Electrician

The company’s Maintenance Department is looking for an **Electrician** with fitting experience in a maintenance environment. The incumbent will report to the Maintenance Manager.

**Duties**:

- Adhering to food safety rules and regulations
- Adhering to and implementing standard operating procedures
- Conducting electrical and mechanical fault-finding
- Working with 3 phase machinery
- Installing and maintaining electronic sensors, PLC’s, 24 Volt control circuits
- Reading and understanding electrical diagrams
- Working with electronic interfaces - pneumatics / hydraulics
- Programming Variable Speed Drivers
- Conducting maintenance on FMCG machinery
- Performing breakdown and preventative maintenance on machinery (packing machines, printers, X-Ray machines)
- Maintaining accurate records of job cards and spares via I-Comply system
- Conducting general building repair work - painting, plumbing, servicing lights & building, cleaning tanks
- Providing assistance to external contractors and/or service providers
- Performing cleaning and sanitation procedures according to standard operating procedures

**Requirements**:

- Matric certificate
- Relevant tertiary qualification (Electrical engineering)
- Electrical /Red seal trade test
- At least 3-5 years of post-trade test experience
- Computer literate (MS Office)
- Maintenance and technical background
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of electronics
- Experience in FMCG industry - at least 2 years
- Must be willing to work shifts, stand-by and call-outs
