**About the Role**

A payroll specialist is a crucial administrative professional who is responsible for maintaining payroll systems and ensuring that paychecks are processed accurately and on time. The role of a payroll specialist involves collecting and reviewing employee information, calculating wages, preparing and processing employee payments, and maintaining detailed and accurate payroll records. Overall, a payroll specialist plays a vital role in ensuring that employees are paid correctly and that payroll operations run smoothly.

**Responsibilities**

Payroll Function
- Data integrity of payroll/employees

Understanding of human resources and labour rules and regulationsGarnishees & Maintenance orders processingAdditional payment processingResponsible for timeous and accurate capturing of employee data with respect of engagements, terminations, transfers, and promotionsEnsuring staff accounts balance and are correct.
2. Maintains payroll information - Updates payroll records3. Managing monthly payroll information
- Balances payroll accounts during the processing of payroll

Resolving payroll discrepancies with the payroll managerComplying with legislation and requirementsTracking of employee absence
- **Required**_
- Grade 12
- Previous wage processing experience
- Payroll processing and capturing experience 3-5 years
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Comfortable travelling to work daily 5 days a week to Germiston, Wadeville
- **Beneficial**_
- MIBCO or other bargaining council experience would be beneficial.
- Postgraduate qualification (Certificate Diploma or degree) in HR or Finance would be beneficial
- Legislation knowledge of Labour relations, Basic Conditions of Employment Act, SARS - PAYE
- Sage VIP Experience 3

**Salary**: R20,000.00 - R26,000.00 per month

**Experience**:

- SAGE VIP Experience 3: 3 years (preferred)
- Processing wages: 3 years (preferred)
