We are looking for a Buyer (Local and International) for the Industria area in Johannesburg.

**Requirements**:

- Grade 12
- Certificate in supply chain
- Knowledge of food service equipment and the industry in general.
- Computer literacy is essential (knowledge of Syspro 6, MS word, Excel)
- Experience minimum of 3 - 5 years in the same or similar environment.
- Proven experience as a buyer, preferably in both local and international procurement.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Knowledge of supply chain management principles.
- Understanding of international trade regulations and import/export procedures.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

**Responsibilities (Not limited to)**:

- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, both local and international.
- Assess supplier capabilities, pricing, quality, and reliability.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential suppliers.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to secure favorable pricing and contractual agreements.
- Ensure compliance with legal and company regulations in procurement transactions.
- Place orders with suppliers based on demand forecasts and inventory levels.
- Track orders to ensure on-time delivery and communicate with suppliers to resolve issues.
- Monitor and report on delivery performance and address any deviations.
- Analyze costs and pricing trends to optimize procurement strategies.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement cost-reduction initiatives.
- Ensure that procured goods and services meet quality standards and specifications.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.
- Address any non-compliance issues with suppliers promptly.
- Stay updated on market trends, industry developments, and emerging technologies.
- Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and products to improve the organization's competitive position.
- Identify and mitigate procurement risks, such as supply chain disruptions, currency fluctuations, and geopolitical issues.
