You will own the UX/UI strategy, creative direction, design principles and standards for two digital products with native mobile and web interfaces and you will need to build the teams of designers required and participate in delivering designs yourself where needed. You will work very closely with the Product Lead to drive the quality and value of our products to our customers.

**Duties and Responsibilities but not limited**:
✠ Drive the UX/UI strategy for Mobile and Web interfaces

✠ Meet with customers or business stakeholders to understand challenges and opportunities

✠ Collaborate with the product team to establish the scope of each requirement.

✠ Engage with stakeholders to gain interative feedback at each phase of the design process.

✠ Take the lead on establishing a design language based on our mother brand for our digital products.

✠ Be up to date on industry standards for UX/UI in FinTech

✠ Utilise design thinking methodologies to collaborate on empathy mapping, user journey mapping, wireframing, prototyping, usability testing, high fidelity design

✠ Implement UI designs and facilitate hand-over of approved screens to development teams

✠ Collaborate with the development and engineering teams on refinement and implementation of UX.

✠ Recruit & mentor promising talent

**Formal skills and experience**:
✠ Matric

✠ BSc in Design, Computer Science or relevant field

✠ Conduct customer interviews and research

✠ Design sprint planning and integration into development sprints

✠ Build user journeys, wireframes, prototypes, high fidelity designs

✠ Creative direction

✠ Collaboration with business, customers, developers, and testers

✠ Develop digital design rules and guidelines to ensure impact and consistency

✠ Develop high fidelity UI files for development

✠ Provide feedback and refinement of interfaces in testing

✠ Measure impact & usability of designs to provide strategic direction on product development.

✠ Good organisational skills

✠ ±6 years experience
