**JOB PROFILE**

**JOB PURPOSE**

The core purpose of the role is to ensure the efficient loading, delivery and offloading of products to customers on time and in full.

**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Vehicle Maintenance**
- Conduct vehicle inspections weekly.
- Ensure vehicle inspection checklists are completed accurately
- Report any deviations immediately to the Warehouse Supervisor to be raised as Non-conformances.
- Ensure fuel consumption is achieved as per company standards.
- Ensure vehicle is always clean and presentable.

**Loading, Driving & Offloading vehicle**
- Verify quality of products loaded onto vehicle.
- Assist with packing and load product onto vehicles according to company specifications.
- Ensure goods is properly secured on the vehicle.
- Ensure correct stock is loaded onto the vehicle as per the Invoice.
- Complete trips sheets as per delivery requirements and ensure authorisation before departure.
- Efficient delivery of orders to customers on assigned routes, on time and in full.
- Ensure effective route planning.
- Always ensure adherence to Road Traffic Act.
- Report any traffic offences to the Warehouse Supervisor immediately.
- Ensure driver’s license and PrDPs are up to date.
- Offload product at customer site as per client requirements.
- Obtain delivery confirmations from each customer and ensure PODs are signed according to requirements and submitted to admin office daily.
- Pre-load vehicles for next -day deliveries.
- Collect outworks and credits as required by the needs of the company and complete all required paperwork accurately.
- Ensure credit logbook is completed and signed accordingly.
- Ensure receipt of cash payments as required by the needs of the company and submit to the admin department immediately upon return from delivery.
- Complete receipt book accurately and ensure signed accordingly.
- Ensure invoice amount is accurately recorded on the card machine for any card payments.

**Customer service**
- Market H-systems products to current and new potential customers.
- Ensure adherence to customer site regulations.
- Communicate potential sales opportunities with customers to the Branch.

**SHEQ Integrated Management System control**
- Ensure adherence to the OHS Act.
- Take reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves of other persons.
- Co-operate with the employer to enable prescribed duties or requirements to be complied with.
- Carry out any lawful order given and obey the health and safety rules and procedures.
- Report any unsafe or unhealthy situation to the employer.
- Report any incident to the employer.
- Comply with health and safety plans.
- Maintains and complies with standards of health and safety, and hygiene always.
- Ensure adherence to PPE requirements of the company and customer requirements.
- Always maintain a high level of customer service levels standards.

**Business Continuity**
- Assist in the warehouse as may be required by the needs of the company.
- Responsible to comply with the SHEQ Integrated Management System (SHEQ-IMS) and the maintenance thereof.

**KEY JOB REQUIREMENTS**

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Valid Code 8 driver’s license. (PrDP)

**EXPERIENCE**
- 1-2 years’ experience in a similar position.
- 2-3 years’ experience in an operations / warehousing environment.

**SKILL REQUIREMENT AND KNOWLEDGE**
- Defensive Driving.
- Knowledge about legal requirements relevant to the Driver’s job.
- Awareness and understanding of the ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001, ISO 14001 Requirements relevant to the processes under your control.

**COMPETENCIES**
- Capable of working under high pressure.
- Excellent Customer service.
- Time management skills.

**REQUIREMENTS AS AN ADDED BENEFIT**
- Experience in the aluminium profiles, -systems and -accessories environment or similar.

**ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS**
- Due to the nature of the position, must be able to work outside the contractual working hours, within the criteria of overtime, when authorised.
