Settlement Officer

**Location: Johannesburg (Remote or Hybrid)**

We have an extremely exciting opportunity available for a Settlements Officer to join our South African Shareholder Services team.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Timeous settlement of transactions in accordance with set procedures
- Timeous settlement of client requests, settlements and queries
- Identifying improved ways to work to minimize risk
- Management of filing on a daily basis

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Experience in Settlements (advantageous)
- Knowledge of Strate
- Corporate Action knowledge (advantageous)
- Financial Market knowledge (advantageous)
- Knowledge and understanding of the CSDP environment
- Knowledge and understanding of Employment Equity guidelines
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Must be able to adhere to strict documented controls and procedures
- Ability to liaise with clients/brokers
- Must be able to communicate with all staff in all business at all level

**EDUCATION**
- Matric or equivalent
- Diploma/Degree in Finance and Investment or equivalent / currently studying towards the qualification (advantageous)
- Strate exams (If not, should be willing to obtain this qualification)

- MS Excel
- MS Outlook
