**JOB OBJECTIVE**:
Seek opportunities to utilize sales and persuasive expertise to exceed sales targets and convert prospective clients into repeat customers in a challenging workplace.

**CUSTOMER BASE**:
Retail customers in the specific area, i.e. co-ops, nurseries, hardware stores, specific chain stores, pet & vet stores

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Regular calling on customers to check stock levels, merchandising and compiling of orders
- Manage stock to be returned by customers
- Implementation of promotional activities in stores, including promoters
- In-store promotions
- Training of customer staff
- Training of merchandisers
- Introduce new products to customers
- Assist with trade shows & expo’s
- Product Training
- Review and update of price files when required
- Ensure products on shelf match consumer profile
- Arrange displays for Top seasonal products/promotions
- Cross merchandising
- Implementation of planograms
- Assist with new store openings
- New product listing
- Give feedback on in-store promotion, staff, sales, daily activities to line manager
- Ensure aged and deranged stock is actioned constantly
- Submit Weekly report to Regional Sales Manager
- Scrutinize sales report received from Regional Sales Manager to determine plan of action for the next store visit & give feedback on what has been achieved from the stores in line with the budget

**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS**
- Minimum Grade 12
- A tertiary qualification in sales will be an added advantage
- Code 8 driver’s license is essential
- Own transport is essential
- Minimum 5 years sales experience in a Retail environment
- Very good interpersonal skills
- Computer literate
- Self-discipline
- Ability to work independently
- Planning of activities and call cycles
