**Motus Aftermarket Parts** is searching for a **Fixed Asset Officer** to join the team in **Meadowview** **Head Office**. The purpose of this position is to perform daily administration of fixed assets, including asset control, insurance claims and Vehicle licencing.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience in fixed assets environment
- Diploma in Accounting/ BCom Accounting
- Teamwork’s
- Attention to detail
- Computer literacy in MS Office.
- Grade 12/ Matric
- Clear criminal record

**Key Performance Indicators includes, but not limited to**:
**Asset Control**:

- Fixed asset life cycle administration (Create/ Transfer/ Retirement)
- Maintenance of asset register and movement analysis
- Understanding the location and status of the company’s assets
- Post inters branches transfer based on authorized documentation
- Work with any internal or external personnel to ensure the protection of those assets and the accuracy of the record-keeping
- Review and analysis of Capital Work-in-Progress to ensure assets are capitalised in a timeous manner
- Take-on of assets when new branches are acquired
- Assist in the creation of the fixed asset internal control environment and compliance with fixed asset policies and procedures.
- Assist with Financial Year End schedules
- Assist with physical verification of assets
- Assist with review and recommend updates process flows

**Insurance claims**:

- Compiling and Registering insurance claims
- Tracking claims and submitting excess invoices upon completion
- Liaising with the branches and the insurance on matters arising from the claims
- Facilitating discussions between third parties and the insurance when required.
- Follow-up on status of claims with the insurers and investigate long outstanding claims
- Assets in preparing the insurance renewal information for assets

**Vehicle Licensing**:

- Requesting licence discs from a service provider and distributing upon receipt
- Issuing of registration documentation when vehicles are disposed of.
- Maintenance of the vehicle files
- Allocation of costs to the branches
- Liaising the branches to ensure the vehicles are licenced

**General work**:

- Preparing and posting Journals where required.
- Raising invoices upon the sale of assets
- Ensure compliance with IFRS Property Plant and Equipment Standards.
- Ensure compliance with SARS Income Tax Act and Practice and Interpretation Notes.
- Review Wear and Tear rates (existing and new assets) for consistency and compliance.
