**About Central Gauteng Lions**:
Central Gauteng Lions is a registered Non-Profit Company that serves as the custodian of all professional and amateur cricket activities within the Gauteng province’s Central Region. Its primary focus includes administering, promoting, developing and coordinating the sport to make Lions Cricket the most successful in professional and amateur cricket.

**Purpose of the Role**:
To deliver the highest standards of grounds by creating a world class, enviable cricket pitch, and ensuring the long term maintenance and sustainability of the ground.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Set up and prepare the cricket field and net facilities for matches and practice sessions to the highest required standards.
- Plan, manage and administrate all turf grass management processes.
- Manage operational staff during matches and liaising with match officials.
- Maintain all equipment to standards set out by management.
- Maintain and grow all existing or new external projects and clients through regular consultations.
- Manage all ground staff ensuring that their work environment is safe and productive.
- Manage the day-to-day administration of the oval and grounds, liaising with suppliers and staff to ensure timeous deliveries and payments.

**Required Qualifications + Other**
- B.Tech. turf grass management
- Senior Certificate - mathematics, biology, science is preferable
- Agriculture would be an advantage
- Pest control accreditation

**Required Experience ** _(relevant or in a similar role)_
- Ability and understanding of varying pitch preparations and conditions.
- At least eight (8) years of turf grass experience
