**Job Description**:
Job purpose: The FP&A team is central to helping Sage make better decisions, create competitive advantage and successfully deliver its strategy. Purpose of role is to prepare internal operational management reporting and group performance reporting requirements for the AME region ensuring that reports are materially accurate, produced to a deadline and comply with Sage’s policies and best practice for FTSE 100 companies. Plays a key role in the strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting and financial / management reporting processes, as well as adding value and insight as part of financial planning and analysis and working collaboratively with the business.

This is a hybrid role - 3 days per week from our office in Johannesburg.

Summary of Role
As an FP&A Analyst within the AME Commercial Finance team, you’ll play a central role in shaping the financial future of the business. This position is key to delivering the insights, analysis, and support that help drive informed decision-making across the organization. By working cross-functionally and across regions, you’ll be part of a highly collaborative team focused on enabling strategic growth, improving performance, and delivering financial excellence.

What I Will Be Doing
In this role, you'll be responsible for delivering financial analysis that helps the business understand performance, identify trends, and plan for the future. You’ll build ad hoc financial models to evaluate growth initiatives and support commercial decisions. Part of your day-to-day will include automating routine tasks, enabling more efficient reporting and freeing up time for deeper analysis.

You’ll take ownership of monthly performance reviews, digging into the numbers to provide meaningful insights and recommendations. You'll develop a strong understanding of SaaS metrics such as ARR, revenue drivers, and P&L performance, and you’ll play a role in preparing for month-end close, forecasting cycles, and budgeting processes. Your work will also support broader strategic projects like reporting system implementations and post-acquisition integration.

Alongside core analysis, you’ll help respond to queries from the Group Reporting team, ensure reporting controls are in place, and maintain a strong grip on data accuracy and compliance. A big part of your success will come from your ability to build strong relationships across the business and work closely with teams to support financial understanding and strategic clarity.

What We Are Looking For
We’re looking for a highly motivated finance professional with at least 4 years of experience in commercial finance, FP&A, accounting, or performance analytics. You should have experience working in a SaaS environment and be confident handling SaaS metrics, particularly ARR, revenue recognition under IFRS 15, and full P&L management. A strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and cost management is key.

You’ll need to be technically strong — proficient in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, lookups, and logical functions), and comfortable learning and navigating large ERP systems like SAP, Adaptive, HFM, Einstein, or similar platforms. A degree in finance or accounting is required, and additional certifications such as CIMA or CFA would be an advantage.
