**Annual Audit Plan**
- To plan audit engagements and assist in the preparation of the audit program
- To supervise internal auditors during the scoping, planning and execution of audit assignments and to guide them in identifying risks and developing a detailed audit programme
- To supervise and coordinate the performance (and personally perform) of diverse audit assignments i.e. compliance audits, financial audits, performance and operational audits, environmental audits, fraud investigations, quality audits, program results audits and IT audits
- To ensure that audit interviews, tests, analyses to collect audit evidence are properly carried out to ensure effective execution of the audit program
- To making observations, identifying causes, identifying associated risks, and making audit recommendations to improve control effectiveness
- To prepare and present opening and closing audit presentations
- To ensure audit evidence, working papers etc. are properly documented and ensuring secure and proper archiving
- To ensure an effective audit process and quality control, resource utilisation and post audit follow-up of recommendations
- To participate in training new auditors
- To run controls on fraud risks
- To contribute to the philosophy of Internal Audit and enhance the internal perception of the division
- To regularly interact with Line Managers in Operations to keep abreast of any development within their area of responsibility.

**Sox Audit**
- To assist with the testing of Sox controls on a quarterly basis and recommend solution to address any deviations from processes

**Audit Reports**
- To prepare written audit reports
- To assist the Internal Audit Manager in the preparation of various committee reports
- To ensure that all reports conform to the TSA internal audit methodology, policy, processes, and procedures

**People Management**
- To manage the staff by creating a motivating work environment, providing development opportunities, and monitoring their performance in line with the set objectives.

**HSEQ**
- To practice good workplace safety
- To report any concerns observed during an internal audit to the management of the entity
- Compliance to Total Energies HSEQ Charter

**Context and environment**
- Organizational:

- Multiple stakeholders; cross functionality; complex and fast and continuous changing environment. Interaction across all staff, including DIVCOM, MANCOM, inclusive of NBE. Ensuring constant evolution of Internal Controls within the TMSA environment and change management; Adaptability to the change in Company strategy towards carbon-neutral by 2050. Change in business activities and risks.
- Mature working environment; Work independently;
- The jobholder is responsible for the effective, timeous, and accurate execution of internal audits and preparation of written audit reports. Key performance areas: execution of audits assigned; training of internal auditors (e.g. report writing); compliance with the professional standards of the Institute of Internal Auditors and TotalEnergies Risk Management Charter.
- Appropriate business / accounting / auditing qualification e.g. BCom or equivalent. CIA an added advantage
- Completed articles an advantage
- At least 5 years extensive internal audit experience
- Supervisory experience, leading a team
- Oil industry experience an advantage
- Critical skills include analytical skills, planning and organising skills, report writing skills, ability to work under pressure, leading and supervising others.
