Durban, South Africa Lead HR Consulting Full time

**Purpose**

To provide support and deliver a professional human resources service to the FPT Group. Provide general, centralised HR administrative support to all terminals as well as to the Group HR Manager.

**Responsibilities**

**HR Policies and Procedures**
- Provide advice and HR administrative support to Cape Town, Durban terminal, PE and Shared Services on HR policies and procedures.
- Provide advice, support and assistance in order to affect the group human resources plan.
- Ensure HR policies and procedures are consistent and administer the implementation thereof.
- Ensure updated HR policies and procedures received from Group HR Manager are disseminated to all stakeholders at the FPT Group.

**Recruitment, Selection & Appointments**
- Verify Group headcount budgets against vacancies to be filled.
- Provide support, advice and assistance to management on staff recruitment up to Paterson C5 level.
- Prepare job specifications and advertisements for vacant positions in conjunction with Group HR Manager.
- Advertise vacancies internally.
- Liaise with recruitment agencies.
- Conduct reference checks on short-listed applicants.
- Arrange and organize interviews.
- Conduct interviews as and when required and up to Paterson C5 level recruitment activities.
- Provide Group HR Manager with assessment reports.
- Ensure feedback is given to management by the external service provider.
- Ensure unsuccessful applicants are informed.
- Ensure comprehensive on-boarding process is adhered to and that all new recruits are inducted.

**Termination**
- Ensure termination advices are timeously submitted to payroll for processing.
- Conduct exit interviews with exiting staff.
- Ensure and arrange for exit medicals to be conducted on exiting staff.

**Performance Management**
- Ensure all administration pertaining to mid-year performance reviews and annual performance appraisals is conducted.
- Ensure that performance contracts are in place and regularly updated.
- Provide advice and assistance to line managers when conducting performance assessments/ appraisals.

**Training & Development**
- Ensure training & development needs are identified through PDP’s and are in line with group strategic/departmental objectives.
- Compile annual training & developments requirements/budget.
- Submit training budget to Group HR Manager for final approval.
- Ensure training plan is adhered to throughout the group.
- Compile and report monthly training & development statistics.
- Administer central training & development data base.
- Submit Annual Training Report (ATR) and Workplace Skills Profile (WSP) to TETA.
- Perform duties of Skills Development Facilitator (SDF) for the group.
- Act as conduit between FPT and the TETA (Transport Education Training Authority

**Job Descriptions**
- Ensure accurate job descriptions are in place and updated regularly.
- Ensure job descriptions are drawn up for all new positions where applicable.
- Provide advice and assistance with regards to the writing up of job descriptions (as per procedure document).

**HR Forum, Employment Equity & Skills Development Forums**
- Attend and contribute to HR Forum, Employment Equity and Skills Development meetings

**HR Reporting**
- Collate monthly and quarterly HR statistical information for group and submit to Group HR Manager.

**Leave Administration**
- Ensure leave is processed accurately and timeously and submitted to payroll.
- Ensure leave reconciliation is conducted and signed off by Group HR Manager at the end of each month.
- Conduct quarterly reviews on sick leave.
- Ensure payroll inputs are submitted to payroll timeously for processing.

**General admin**
- Ensure Skills Development information in respect of BBBEE (EE/SD) scorecard is collated, compiled and submitted for verification purposes. Ensure BEE123 is updated with relevant information.
- Ensure personnel files are regularly updated and maintained.
- Ensure all organograms are regularly updated.
- Responsible for compiling HR Updates newsletter layout and gathering of articles for all terminals.
- Compile HR operational budget (annually).
- Ensure consolidation of personnel budgets and timeous submission to Group HR Manager and Group Financial Manager.

**Education**
- HR Diploma
