**Job Title**: Three-Phase Electrician

**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Install Three-Phase Electrical Systems**:

- Install three-phase power distribution systems, including wiring, circuit breakers, transformers, and switchgear in commercial and industrial settings.
- Set up and configure electrical panels, motors, and control systems.
- **Maintenance and Troubleshooting**:

- Inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot three-phase electrical systems to prevent downtime and ensure the system operates efficiently.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical faults, including those related to wiring, breakers, relays, and electrical components.
- **Repair and Upgrades**:

- Replace faulty or worn components such as circuit breakers, fuses, wiring, and motors.
- Upgrade electrical systems to meet new safety standards or to accommodate higher power requirements.
- **Interpret Technical Schematics and Blueprints**:

- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documents for installation and troubleshooting.
- Ensure all work aligns with local electrical codes and standards.
- **Electrical Safety Compliance**:

- Adhere to all relevant safety protocols, ensuring that installations meet OSHA and NFPA standards for electrical safety.
- Test systems to ensure they are properly grounded and do not pose a risk of electric shock or fire.
- **Work with Three-Phase Motors**:

- Install, maintain, and repair three-phase motors and their control systems, ensuring efficient and reliable operation.
- Adjust motor speeds, configure motor drives, and set up variable frequency drives (VFDs).
- **Project Management**:

- Work closely with clients, engineers, and other trades to ensure electrical systems meet project specifications.
- Estimate materials, time, and costs required for electrical work in commercial and industrial environments.
- **Testing and Inspection**:

- Conduct regular tests and inspections of three-phase electrical systems, using testing tools such as multimeters, insulation resistance testers, and ammeters.
- Ensure compliance with electrical standards and issue certifications when applicable.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**: High school diploma or equivalent required. Vocational training or certification in electrical work preferred.
- **Licensing**: Must hold a valid electrician's license (Journeyman or Master Electrician).
- **Experience**: Minimum of 3 years of experience working with three-phase electrical systems in commercial, industrial, or high-power residential settings.
- **Technical Skills**:

- Extensive knowledge of three-phase power distribution, motor controls, and electrical system installation.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Proficiency in using electrical tools and testing equipment.
- **Soft Skills**:

- Strong problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a larger project team.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
- Comfortable working in various environments, including outdoors, on ladders, and in industrial settings.

**Work Environment**:

- Typically works in commercial or industrial buildings, construction sites, or maintenance settings.
- May require overtime or on-call work for emergency repairs or maintenance.
